Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information this.to collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using this.to, you agree to the practices described here.
Who we are
this.to (the "Service") is operated by [Operating entity — to be confirmed] ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy covers the this.to website, the pages people create on it, and related services. Questions? Contact us at support@this.to.
Information we collect
We collect the following information:
- Account information — when you sign up, our authentication provider collects your email address and basic profile details so you can sign in.
- Payment information — subscriptions are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not store your full card number. We keep records such as your subscription status and the customer and subscription identifiers needed to manage billing.
- Content you create — the slug you choose, the images you upload, your call-to-action label and link, and your page settings.
- Usage and analytics data — when anyone views a page, we record counts such as page views and button clicks. To produce these and to keep the Service secure, we may process technical data including IP address, browser and device type, referring page, and approximate location derived from IP address.
- Communications — messages you send us, such as support emails.
How we use information
- To provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
- To process subscriptions and payments.
- To show page owners basic analytics about their own pages.
- To protect the Service against fraud, abuse, and security threats.
- To respond to your questions and provide support.
- To send service-related messages, such as billing and account notices.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms & Conditions.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as described here:
- Service providers — we rely on trusted third parties to run the Service: our authentication provider, our payment provider (Stripe), our hosting and image-storage provider (Vercel), and our database provider (Neon). They process data only as needed to provide their service to us.
- Legal reasons — when required by law, regulation, or legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of this.to, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers — if this.to is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
- At your direction — content you publish on your page is shared publicly because you chose to publish it (see below).
Your pages are public
Pages you create on this.to are public. Anyone with the link can view your images, your call-to-action, and your slug — no sign-in required — and search engines may index them. Please do not upload images or information you would not want to be public, and do not include other people's personal information without their permission.
Cookies
We use essential cookies — mainly to keep you signed in and to operate the Service securely. We aim to keep cookie use minimal and do not use cookies for third-party advertising. Your browser settings let you control cookies, though disabling essential cookies may stop parts of the Service from working.
Data retention
We keep account, content, and billing information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. When you delete a page, its content is removed from the live Service. When you close your account, we delete or anonymise your personal information within a reasonable period — except where we must keep certain records, such as billing and tax records, to meet legal obligations.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these, email us at support@this.to and we will respond as required by applicable law. You can also edit or delete your pages, and cancel your subscription, at any time from your account.
These rights include protections under laws such as the EU and UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act, and the Australian Privacy Act, where they apply to you.
International transfers
this.to and our service providers may process and store information in countries other than the one you live in. Where we transfer personal information across borders, we take steps to ensure it remains protected in line with this policy and applicable law.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, and we rely on established providers for hosting, authentication, and payments. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please keep your account credentials private.
Children's privacy
this.to is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Third-party links
Pages on this.to — including call-to-action buttons and uploaded content — may link to other websites and services we do not control. This policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above, and significant changes may be communicated through the Service. Continued use of this.to after an update means you accept the revised policy.
